Setting up an environment to edit pinax itself is documented at

but there are not any docs for the development process for each app itself.
Also links are needed to the appropriate page on github for each app.
I would go so far as to say that a clone_app pinax-admin command would be awesome that would write a lot off the boilerplate and create all of the directories where they should be. I think that would be pretty awesome.
