To support removal of all remnants of tag_app we've moved the extra_tagging_tags from tagging_ext and put that functionality in tagging_ext_tag. This has been implemented in the Pinax default template under the branch.

Once the 0.3.0 release of django-tagging-ext is released this can be merged into Pinax master branch.
